I love this album. I was a huge fan of The Format…and then a huge fan of Steel Train when I saw them open for The Format. The fact that Jack and Nate are in FUN together adds even more excitement. Also I think Andrew fits in with them perfectly. I am so glad they decided to form this band. It seemed like it took forever for the album to come out but it is as “fun” and amazing as I had hope it would be. You’ll love it!

I missed Nate Ruess’ voice like crazy, so I was thrilled when I heard about Fun. This album is amazing. It’s very theatrical and… fun! The songs kept me awake at night during the first week, if not longer and I still can’t seem to get them out of my head. Definitely my favorite album right now!!!

This is an excellent album that I just happened to stumble on while browsing. From the first line I was hooked. I have listened to the opening track “Be Calm” I don’t know how many times. This is also an album that I can listen to from the opening track all the way through. The music just flows and sticks with you all day long. Highly Recommended!

While I’m a big fan of power pop ( done right, that is ), I wasn’t sure what to make of this album when I first heard snippets from it. I must say that it is a rare and pleasant surprise. It’s a well-crafted, great-sounding, and just plain fun to listen to album. It may at first seem to be over-produced, but it’s not. It may at first seem to lack depth, but it doesn’t. It’s pure power-pop all the way, but not in the same vein as Badfinger or Big Star - it’s more of a weird kind of melding of Queen and ELO, with a dash of Cheap Trick thrown in. The songs are all catchy and melodic, and the lyrics are pretty darn good to boot. Great ( big ) little album these guys put out.

I purchased this cd after listening to the short 30 sec samples available on Amazon. I’m pretty good at being able to tell whether I will like the entire cd, or not.

I was not disappointed. Fun, is a lot of fun, and puts me in a good mood. I like the use of multiple instruments thrown in with the usual guitar, bass, drums, format, common with many bands.

The songs are catchy, well thought out, and executed by musicians who actually play their instruments.

When I played the cd at my workplace, it was well recieved by most who were listening. However, the angry young cynics ran for the hills with their hands over their ears. Their loss.

Obvious influences would be the Beatles, Queen, Blur,(and as much as I hate to add yet another overused band included as influence)Jellyfish, and perhaps Stackridge?

This is a cd I will share with those I think will be able to appreciate it. Is it you?
