MC Miker G & DJ Sven - Holiday Rap HQ Videoclip!!!
1986 Breakdancer and rapper MC Miker G (Lucien Witteveen) meets DJ Sven (Sven van Veen). They decide to record a demo called Holiday Rap, based on the Madonna song Holiday. In July the song is released through Dureco and it reaches the number one spot in 34 countries and the top 10 in twelve other countries. At the end of the year their second single Celebration Rap is released. It is less successful than the Holiday Rap, but still reaches the top 10 in over thirty countries and turns gold in The Netherlands.

Exactly seven weeks or something crossed my mind
It was the shine of the time we never forget
One morning our parents kicked us out of our beds
We told them it was stupid, don’t play the fool
But the answer was short: “You gotta go to school!”
She actually didn’t. It was because of her and the producer of this song, Jellybean Benitez, that this song flopped in America. They got the record label in America to pull the single from release because of “copyright infringement”, stopping whatever momentum it ever could have had completely cold, despite the fact the music on it was re-recorded by this song’s producer to prevent the duo from lawsuits. It’s also why Miker G and Sven never came to America to perform this song.
